IT’s A GOOD DAY TO CHANGE THE WORLD

An essential new book by Lauren Schiller and Hadley Dynak, the team behind the award-winning podcast and radio show Inflection Point, IT’S A GOOD DAY TO CHANGE THE WORLD (illustrated by Rosy Petri) releases 2/28/23 by Countryman Press. The book offers readers inspiration, information, camaraderie, and the fuel to keep going, day after day, in the work to create a just, equal, and inclusive world. Sharing interviews and advice from groundbreaking activists, authors, artists, entrepreneurs, and visionaries who have mobilized change this book puts the wisdom of phenomenal trailblazers directly into the hands of those who need it most—the everyday visionaries and activists doing the work of making our world a better place for everyone.


INTERSECTIONS

A temporary art event on Berkeley Public Pathways. Site specific installations, guided walks, and artist talks exploring the many connection points that exist in our community with the paths as canvas.

INFLECTION POINT

Worked with nationally-syndicated radio show host and podcaster, Lauren Schiller to develop her new season profiling women taking charge and leading change. Helped design and launch a crowdfunding campaign that raised $30k to create content that gives listeners tools to channel anger and frustration into meaningful action.


INSIDE OUT: PARK CITY

Produced a local application of the international participatory public art project-Inside Out. Portraits of Summit County Entrepreneurs was installed in 74 vacant storefront windows in a single strip mall in Park City, UT over a one month period. Six foot black and white photographs showcased people who were building things from scratch to make the community a better place to live, work, and play using their entrepreneurial spirit. THE VIEW FROM MY DOOR

Produced a temporary, community-created public art project, sponsored by the Summit County Public Art Advisory Board and curated by Amy MacDonald and Nancy Stoakes. The project installed large format posters in 13 commercial buildings across Summit County designed from over 120 submissions to an open community call for photographs representing the world seen from a place people call home. The exhibit celebrated sense of place, definition of community, and connection to one another.

THE FUTURE IS NOW

Produced a youth participatory public art project facilitated by internationally-known artist Bisco Smith, sponsored by the Summit County Public Art Advisory Board, the Park City Summit County Arts Council, and Basin Recreation. (Spring 2018)
